Joyce Swanson

Joyce passed away peacefully at home in Crossfield, Alberta at the age of 98 years.

Formerly from the Kyle and White Bear districts in Saskatchewan, she loved the farm life, gardening and animals, and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking. She made friends everywhere she went.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Judy (Don) Morrison, and Gerri Swanson, her son Terry (Karen) Swanson, daughter-in-law Daphne Swanson, sisters-in-law Peggy Bird, and Edna Swanson, grandchildren Shelley (Jay), Lee, Shawna, Jeff (Wendi), Darcy, Lonni (Indira), Janna (Max) and Kevin (Sarah), 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and many special friends and neighbors.

She is predeceased by her husband Hilding (Al), son Gordon, parents Bert and Olive, sister Lilian, brothers and in-laws Gerald Bird, Cliff (Signe) Bird, Avone Bird, Roy (Vivian) Bird, Ken (Anna) Bird, Frank Bird, Roy (Hazel) Swanson, Ann (Lawrence) Kay, Ina (Wilf) Stauth, Arnold Swanson, niece Marlene (Bird) Christensen, nephews Lenny Kay and Wayne Bird, great-nieces Amanda Heyden and April Kowalchuk.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
