Judith Scheirer

Judy Scheirer, 70, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away the evening of Thursday, October 16, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Airdrie, surrounded by her family. Born on May 24, 1955 , in Vancouver, British Columbia, Judy's life was a testament to love, compassion, and dedication to caring for others.

Judy was a woman with a place in her heart for everyone. She spent many of her years as a homecare worker in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, assisting the lives of countless folks, improving their quality of life. Her commitment later continued after her retirement in Airdrie, Alberta where she volunteered at Bethany persisting with her passion to care for others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone that she came into contact with.

Judy's love for books was apparent to all who knew her. She was an avid reader, often attending a book club at the Airdrie Public Library. Her enthusiasm for Christmas and craft fairs was infectious, carrying on to other family members as they grew.

Judy will join her husband, Richard in heaven and is lovingly remembered by her loving children, Richard, Jeffrey, and Angela. She will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren, who affectionately called her grandma. Judy's memory will live on through her family, whose lives have been enriched by her love and support.

Although Judy's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Judy, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

An open Memorial Service to celebrate Judy's life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Balzac United Church at 2:00 PM.
