June Burgess

June Sharon Burgess of Red Deer, AB passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the age of 76 years. She was born in Saskatoon, SK on February 3, 1950. She was the youngest of two children in the Entz family. She attended primary school in Saskatoon, then secondary school in Vernon, BC. June attended nurses' training at Vancouver General Hospital and soon after married William (Bill) Burgess on June 14, 1974.

They moved to Calgary, AB in 1980 and had their first son, Andrew on September 10, 1983. He was soon followed by the birth of Nathan on December 15, 1985. June worked as a Registered Nurse at the former Calgary General Hospital, then at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. She retired from nursing after approximately 30 years and then supported Bill full-time with managing the office affairs of their transportation business, Pilgrim Coach Lines. June loved spending time in her garden at home and served at church by attending to one of the many flower beds. Partly for enjoyment and a desire to serve her family, she could often be found in her sewing room, mending socks and shirts, crafting her own clothes or simply folding laundry.

June leaves behind her husband, Bill, her children Andrew (Natasha) and Nathan (Lisa), her grandchildren Levi, Theo, Dominic, Tessa, and Henry, and her brother Roy Entz. As a dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother, June will be sadly missed and always loved deeply.
