In Memory
Kam Woon Mah

Kam Woon Mah, aged 92 of Red Deer passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 18, 1933, in China.
Kam lived a long full life, and she will be remembered for her simple joys and warm presence. She loved watching YouTube, where the lady picks fruit and then takes it to market to sell. She enjoyed her quiet routines, her family visits and the comfort of familiar moments.
She married Ming in Hong Kong on December 14th, 1956. Together they travelled to Prince Rupert and had four children. Owning different businesses in Rupert, they were given an opportunity to purchase the Alberta Cafe in Westlock. That was a life-changing opportunity. The community accepted them with open arms and the business thrived for many years. They were kind and generous to many of the patrons as we have come to realize with all the comments we are receiving on social media.
Throughout her life, she told us about the orchard they had in China. She grew the biggest lemons and orange trees in Westlock. We will all miss our mom’s excellent cooking. There were so many dishes she could whip up whenever we wanted. She always enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Gerald and partner Charlene, Carole and husband Bill, Nathan and Paige; and granddaughter Jenna and her partner Caleb,
who will forever cherish her strengths, her humour and the love she showed in her own unique ways.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Deer Hospice if desired.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for Kam and supported her in her final days, Red Deer Hospital, Red Deer Home Care and Red Deer Hospice.
