Katherine Wirackowsky

It is with deep sorrow and love we announce the passing of Katherine Rose Wirackowsky. She went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta.

Katherine (Kappy, Kapps, Kapparoonie): lived a life of faith in Jesus and credited Him with the strength to survive the pain and challenge of three separate cancers.

Her years were spent with those she loved - especially her grandchildren Colby and Riegan. From shopping, eating out, playing games, talking sports, mall visits and having sleepovers - their relationship was one that will never be forgotten or replaced. There was no better Grandma than her.

Katherine leaves behind her two beautiful, amazing, talented and funny daughters Lisa and Shannon. A son-in-law, Robert, who always found time to help her when she needed it. Special friends, Gabe and Barb who were just a phone call away when she needed to chat or share her faith. A cousin, Grace. Friends, Kevin and Donna. And other family members and friends who will miss Katherine dearly.

At the request of Katherine and the family there will be no service.
