In Memory
Kathleen "Kathy" Jacobs
It is
with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Kathleen Lynn Jacobs
on April 18, 2023 at the young age of 66.
A Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Grandma, Aunt and Friend like no other. She will be deeply missed by her best friend and husband, Lyle of 50 years, her sons, Shane (Stacey) and Jason (Sheri); her 9 grandchildren, Carter, Dawson, Jordan, Reid, Kade, Jamie (Dave), Ashley (Krishen), Colton (Brittney) and Regan; and one great grandchild, Lyla.
Her presence will surely be missed but lovingly cherished by her parents; Bob
and Bev Bergeson; her sisters, Jeannie (Tom) and Shelley (Ralph); as well as her many nieces
and nephews whom she loved as her own. Her mother in law, Joyce, sister in law
Lyla (Willie) and brother in law Don will also truly miss her presence. She was
predeceased by her brother Larry, sisters in law Marlene and Brenda and Father
in law Lorne.
When you remember Kathy as we will- remember her smile, her infectious
laughter, her generous heart, her love of sharing her cooking and baking, and
especially her love for spending time taking care of all of us family and
friends.
Kathy was born in Calgary, and raised in the Cremona area where she met the man
she’d spend all her days with at the age of 14. She, with the love of her life,
made a beautiful home here at the farm enjoying curling, golfing, camping with
friends, and especially time with her kids and grandkids. Her culinary skills
were felt by all especially at family gatherings and with her summers spent
working at the Tooth of the Dog Pound Golf course- where she helped to create
not only memorable meals but personal lasting memories for many. These many
summer hours helped to bring her true love to fruition- their beautiful
vacation home in Phoenix. She loved opening their home to welcome friends and
family to share in their pride of their beautiful winter getaway which they
enjoyed for 14 years. Creating memories with numerous golf games, adventurous
road trips and hiking excursions with friends. She loved her winning bingo
afternoons and going on casino runs.
In the summer of 2022, they quickly learned her love for touring around home
visiting family and friends while travelling in their new motorhome. This definitely
was her new favourite place to be.
Kathy will be remembered for her gracious heart, her amazing hugs and the love
she shared with everyone that was lucky enough to receive it. Most important,
her ability to see the good in everything around her no matter the
circumstance. She fought her battle with tremendous strength and unmatchable
courage. She will be deeply missed and forever honored.
