Keith Allen Rohl

December 22nd, 1961 - July 27th, 2024
Keith Allen Rohl

Keith Allen Rohl passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 due to a sudden but brief illness.

Keith was born in Calgary, Alberta to Kenneth and Helen Rohl. He was an impetuous child going from one thing to the other. At age 5 he put his dad’s car into reverse and almost hit a fire hydrant across the street.

Keith worked at several different jobs including with his dad. He spent many years growing his window washing business and enjoyed snowplowing in the winter.

Keith was always a “people person” and made friends easily. He had a number of “rough years” but with a lot of prayer and the help of good friends and his AA family, he was able to turn his life around and use his experiences for good. Keith’s help and wide-influence to those struggling with addictions is something his family was very thankful and proud of.

Keith loved animals (especially horses) and enjoyed camping, quadding and snowmobiling with his AA friends in the Burnt Timber area.

Keith loved his children and worked hard to grow closer to them in the last few years. This included training them in his window washing business.

Keith was predeceased by both sets of his grandparents and a brother, Kelly Rohl. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Rohl; his daughter, Kayla Bonnie Rohl (Ty Munro); his son, Brandon Alexander B. Rohl; his brother, Jim Rohl (Janice); his sister, Cheryl Friesen (John) and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

At Keith’s request, a Celebration of Life will be held at Golden Rod Community Hall, west of Airdrie on the corner of highways 567 & 772 (west on Veteran’s Blvd.), on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

If family and friends so desire, memorial tributes can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

My condolences to the entire family
I met Keith the snow plow guy, the day I hired him. A very hard and dedicated employee and always put the company first.
Truly sad to hear of his passing.
Words are tough to come by but he was a great man and I truly respected how he faced his demons.

Where do I begin……
My dad was the best father a girl could ever ask for. He was always there for me when I needed him. We grew closer over the years when I started working with him, those times I will cherish forever, I’m glad I got to work with him and learn the business. Words can’t describe how grateful I am that I got to spend those 4yrs working with him and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Dad I miss you so much, I love you daddy!!

I remember Keith the first time on the farm he seemed to be a know it all and always had a opinion on everything and everyone. One once I got to know him better I enjoyed being with him and working alongside of him. He always made me laugh. I was walking by his house when he was trying to sell his Honda fifty we had a great conversation and catch up on life and what he was up to . He was truly proud of his kids and concerned about his mom and dad and their future and what is best for them. We would go for coffee and discuss his new lifestyle with his new friends and taking a leadership in AA. He really looked forward to the meetings and helping new friends. I always enjoyed the pictures he sent me of the wild horses and the predicaments he ran into with his quad . I stopped by his house the other day and walked around for awhile and I could see Keith everywhere and I could hear him telling a story on every piece of car boat and quad in his backyard. He really knew how to live life to the fullest . Our condolences go to his family we will cherish the memories and the his GREAT LAUGH. We will certainly see him again and listen to his stories and hear that laugh again

Like to send my condolences to Keith's kids his mom and dad and his family. When I think of Keith I think of when we were kids on the farm causing mishaps and chaos in the hay bales. Going roller skating he took us to either always to rollerland or Lloyd's. The man had moves he could rock out on the rollerland dance floor doing disco like no one else before. Rest in peace cousin.

He will be missed. What a great, genuine, hard working man he was. Man, he carried the oldest cell phone ever around his neck all the time. I envied him that fine timepiece. Godspeed, old friend.

Keith was the 1st person I met in Alberta when I moved here 5 years ago, I rented a small area of the house he lived in from Ted, he always talked about his family, how proud he was of his kids. He will be missed by so many he has helped along his path. He will now be their guardian angel.

When I first met Keith only a few years ago the first thing I noticed was his humour and that big deep laugh. He was always cracking jokes and pretending to flirt with the ladies. He guided us out Quading showing us the best trails, telling stories, and always sliding in the bad dad jokes. Keith had a way of inviting people to come together to enjoy each other’s company. I thank him for that. We are already missing his big handsome smile and bear hugs. He made a difference and made this world a better place, thank you. May you rest in peace with God. And I’m so sorry to the family and all who loved him for this great loss .

Keith always had interesting stories and had a way of pointedly telling you the truth in ways you would never forget. All of this went pretty fast and doesn't quite seem real yet. We are glad we were able to take some time out about 3 weeks ago and have lunch together.
