Ken
was born in Willingdon, Alberta, and spent most of his childhood and young
adult life in Edmonton. He joined the
Bank of Montreal and worked in various roles in various locations across Canada
including Canadian Forces Bases in Europe as an auditor. The Bank of Montreal was also the place where
he met Donna. Ken and Donna married and were together for 48 years until she passed
away in 2012. He decided to change roles
and move into the financial services and insurance industry in personal sales
and management where he earned and qualified as a member of the prestigious
Million Dollar Round Table and became a Chartered Financial Planner. He loved working in this industry helping people
and building a business that allowed him to retire at 55. This allowed Ken and Donna to spend 12
winters in Arizona and summers in Carefree Resort on Glennifer Lake. Prior to retirement, many weekends were spent
camping and holidays were spent enjoying Mara Lake, BC. Ken married in 2014 and spent the last 9 ½ years enjoying life and the things they had in
common including travelling, family time, card games and singing with the
Drifters.
