In Memory
Lawrence "Larry" Murray Ludlow

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Lawrence “Larry” Murray Ludlow, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in London, Ontario on June 19, 1956, Larry built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and love.
He spent more than two decades working in the oilfield as a Top Drive Supervisor at Tesco, where his dedication and expertise earned the respect of many. Later in his career, he continued to share his knowledge as a consultant overseas, traveling to many parts of the world for both work and leisure.
On April 2, 1983, Larry married the love of his life, Sandy, and together they built a beautiful family. Larry was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather. He will be forever cherished by his children Lia (Paul Saunders), Shana (Chad Stenhouse), and Shaun (Jocelyn Ludlow); and by his eight beloved grandchildren, Jaden, Dakota, Sam, and Sara Caron, Joseph Stenhouse, Wyatt, Reese, and Ben Ludlow.
Larry is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Thora Ray, and her husband, Dale Ray, and by his aunt and uncle, Bev and John Payne, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was predeceased by his mother, Dawn Manning.
Larry was a man of few words but a big heart, whose positivity and strength inspired everyone around him. He often reminded those he loved that “tomorrow is never promised,” and he lived every day with gratitude and purpose. A passionate Calgary Flames fan and an avid follower of politics, Larry was known for his strong opinions, quick wit, and generous spirit. Above all, he was a provider and protector, a man whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to those he loved most.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and resilience — one that will continue to live on through his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in Larry’s honour may be made to the Red Deer Hospice, whose care and compassion deeply touched his family.
Larry will be greatly missed, forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
