Leslie "Bob" Stevenson

Bob Stevenson went home peacefully to be with the Lord on February 6, 2023, at the age of 76.

At the age of 69, Bob was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He fought hard to give his family and friends as much time as he could with them, but after a long fight, his body was tired and he was ready for eternal rest.

Family was everything to Bob - not only through his words but in all of his actions and how he lived his life.

Bob will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 53 years, Marlene; his son Ryan of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; his daughter Tosha and “best son-in-law ever”, Terry Giesbrecht of Penhold; his precious grand daughters, Brynn Stevenson and Paisley Giesbrecht, who were his absolute pride and joy; as well as many other beloved family members and dear friends.  He was welcomed at heavens gate by family and friends who had gone before him.

In honour of Bob’s wishes, the family will be having a private celebration of his life.

The family would like to thank Pastor Dan Cochrane of Crossroads Church for being a source of support and light through this hard time.  Dan, Bob and Marlene sat together on Friday and shared stories of faith, and prayers of peace and comfort. Bob was ready to go and be with his Lord and Saviour.

The family would also like to thank the Red Deer Hospice Society for providing care to Bob/dad in his last few days. Their support allowed his wife to be a wife, his daughter to be a daughter, and family could be family!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s honour to the Red Deer Hospice Society or Crossroads Church.

We will always remember how Bob drove into our on his little tractor the day we became their neighbours. What a blessing. Love you Marlene.
