Lillian Eleanor Albrecht (nee Mundy)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Lillian Eleanor Albrecht (nee Mundy) announce her passing on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 80 years.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Victor; children, Tracy and Norman (Josephine); sister, Grace Hodgson (Ron); numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by her mom, Lizzy Mundy; dad, Thomas Mundy and siblings, Irvine, Gilbert (Pat), John (Melly), Bill, George (Marilyne), Betty (John), Pat (Gordon), Irene (Jack), and Thomas.
Lillian was a registered nurse until she retired in 2000. She began in acute care but worked most of her career in long-term care with the elderly. She really loved helping and caring for the elderly. She was still in contact with several classmates from nursing school and other nurse friends over the years.
Lillian was a part of several Lutheran Church communities over the years. She was involved with teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School in the summers. She loved her church community friends and was always ready to volunteer when needed.
Lillian loved to read and always had a book or two that she was reading. She loved to play a variety of games, especially crazy rummy or learning new card games. Over the years she liked to knit when she had time and Tracy was the recipient of several pairs of slippers. In the last few months, she has been working to finish a needlepoint. In later years she enjoyed working on puzzles.
Lillian was very family oriented. Visiting with her siblings or all her nieces and nephews brought her so much joy. There was so much laughter, game playing, eating, and enjoying each other’s company. She loved to give hugs to all her family when they parted ways. She was so full of joy, kindness, and most of all love for all around her.
