Linda Hvidsten

August 17th, 1955 - February 24th, 2024
Linda Hvidsten

Linda passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 surrounded by her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years Frank Hvidsten, her children Crystal (Rob) Zeemel and Hans Eric (Adelle) Hvidsten. Linda will be greatly missed by her 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan, Markus, Makinley, Austin, Levi and Evan. These kids were the her pride and joy and called her YaYa!

She will be deeply missed and remembered by her siblings Ron (Leanne) Enns, Jim (Bernie) Enns, Pat Enns; sisters-in-law Sissel (Duayne) Bray, Shelley (Keith) Hvidsten, and her brothers-in-law Hans (Lori) Hvidsten and Chris Hvidsten.

She cherished her time with her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews where you would often find them staring at her with love in their eyes.

Linda had many lifelong friendships that will be remembered by all.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Ken and Lois Enns; her mother and father-in-law, Kjell and Sissel Hvidsten; her sister, Kathy McSweeny; and her brother-in-law Don Galonski.

Linda was born and raised on a farm just outside of Medicine Hat, Alberta. After graduating from highschool she moved to Calgary,Alberta, to attend SAIT, where she met the love of her life, Frank. They moved to Airdrie where they have called home for the past 45 years. They raised two beautiful children and had the pleasure of watching all of their grandchildren grow up.

Linda worked at Cam Clark Ford for over 30 years and wore many hats. She loved to volunteer at the BGC Airdrie. When she wasn't spending time with her beloved husband, you would find her doing yardwork, shopping, cooking, cleaning, having dance parties in the kitchen with her grandkids, sitting in her gazebo or, of course, floating in her pool.

We would like to thank everyone that cared for our precious Linda over the past few years, but most of all we would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Unit 61 at the Foothills Medical Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In leiu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the BGC Airdrie Club - (Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie)

I am so sad she had to go, but glad you had her for the time you did. It sounds like she was a wonderful person, I regret that I never got to meet her. I wish you all the best in the coming days as you prepare to celebrate her life.
