Buck Wells

Lloyd Peter “Buck” Wells, was born the youngest son into the Frank Wells and Mary Ann Pritchard Wells Family.  June 17, 1945. -  October 19, 2023

Buck described his much younger self as a “wild child” - aka spoilt brat, who took much pleasure in teasing his older siblings, and getting away with it.  As a teenager/young adult  - OH! - the stories he told.   He loved his life as a musician and so many of us enjoyed his wonderful abilities as a singer / songwriter and professional entertainer.

Buck had an amazing sense of humor and was always enjoying a good prank.  He had the ability to make everyone feel so very important, was a friend to all, and enjoyed life.

In the  more recent years, Buck gave back to the Red Deer Community - helping those troubled with drugs - the homeless and the hungry.  The “Buck Truck” was a safe haven for many to share conversation, a warm meal, and was very near and dear to his heart.  He was always there to listen.

In Bucks words.

“ If you by chance do wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs it.   If you do this - I will LIVE forever…I want to say Thank You to all of you who shared a Smile, a Laugh or a Hug! So Long - Farewell….. “.      Buck Wells

I was saddened to hear of Frank's passing. I so enjoyed working with Frank over the years in the country music industry. We shared a lot of laughs and a love for old country music. I will pay I your kindness forward.

We danced many times when Buck was entertaining at the Buffalo, and I especially enjoyed watching him and his brother Fred, when they were on Rocky Mountain Music on CKRD so many years ago. We were fortunate to play cards with him out at Waskasoo Estates, and he had such a great sense of humor, it was a hoot! He will be greatly missed. We hope you can play music once again with the angels Buck. Rest in Peace
