Born in Mankota, Saskatchewan, October 13, 1937, Lloyd grew up on the family farm.
As a young adult he went off and joined the Royal Canadian Navy. The death of his
father brought him back to the family farm. In 1963 he met and married his wife Rose. In
1966 they sold the farm in Saskatchewan, and made their way to Alberta, settling down
on the farm in Buck Lake. It was a busy life, with the farm and three boys. In 1978 they
sold the farm and moved into the town, where Lloyd was an active member of the
community. In later years he could be found, in the morning, enjoying a coffee with his
fellow members of the Sit More and Do Little Club. He spent the rest of his time helping
at the curling club, community center and was an active member of the Royal Canadian
Legion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
