In Memory
Lloyd Schuetz

Lloyd
Edwin Schuetz went to be with Jesus on Sunday afternoon, December 11th, 2022.
He will be lovingly remembered and hugely missed by Madalene, his wife of 69
years, his daughters Cheryle Pelzer (husband Bob) and Ronda Wells (husband
Brian), and sons Bev Schuetz, and Jerry Schuetz (wife Brenda). Lloyd deeply
loved and daily prayed for his 10 grandchildren, Pam (Josh) Allen, Steven
(Fritzi) Pelzer, Jen (Jeremy) Caspel, David (Jodi) Pelzer, Tim (Sarah) Pelzer,
Nathan (Shannyn) Schuetz, Tyson, Jared (Lexi) Schuetz, Sam and Josh, and also
his 9 great-grandchildren, Marcello, Tahlia, Amira, Elias, Rosa, Charlie and
Bethany. Gabriella and Byron went to heaven earlier and are meeting Lloyd
there.
Lloyd is
survived by his step-brother Walter Durksen (they hunted, trapped, worked the
fields and went to Bible School together), along with many nieces, nephews,
friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord whom he loved, prayed with, shared
the Word of God with, and ministered together with around the world. Lloyd is
predeceased by his parents, William and Charlotte Schuetz, step-mother, Helen
Durksen, brothers Billy and Ben, sisters Dora, Violet and Ruth, step-brother
Vern and step-sisters Helen and Anne.
Lloyd’s passions were Jesus his Lord and Saviour, spending time in prayer, the Word of God, Africa, the Gospel, reaching the lost for Jesus, and his wife and family. He could quote scripture from memory endlessly and no matter what passage of scripture you wanted to talk with him about he knew where it was in the Bible and what it said – and he could usually quote it too. His mission field was wherever he was and the last couple of years, his mission was in his home. He absolutely loved having the Health Care aides from Paramed come into his home to help him. Without fail one of the first questions would be ‘where are you from”? and then “do you know Jesus”. He loved talking to them about the Gospel as they completed their work with him.
