Lois Betty Kohn

Lois Betty Kohn (nee Weisser) passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the age of 86 years.

She will be remembered by her children, Wendy Kohn, Patti Galambos, Arlene Wolff (Rod) and their families; her brother-in-law, Ronald; her sister, Darlain Hehr (Ray); her sisters-in-law, Lea Weisser and Rosamond Kohn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

Lois was predeceased by Ken, her husband of 64 years; her parents, Paul and Freda Weisser (nee Brown); and brother, Dennis Weisser.

Lois was born in Camrose, Alberta. She played a lot of sports as a young girl, often rounding out the boys’ teams in hockey and softball and was very close to her brother, Dennis, his whole life. Lois worked in health care and insurance before deciding to sell jewellery on her own behalf. Lois and Ken enjoyed their snowbird stays over a 14-year period in Yuma, Arizona, making and keeping many new friendships. She had many productive hours crocheting while watching her sports on TV, and many family members and friends enjoy the lap and cradle blankets she made for them.

Lois’s family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at AgeCare Seton for the excellent care and support she received the last few years of her life.

Lois’s remains will be interred in the Queen’s Park Cemetery in Calgary by private ceremony.
