Lorna Lohmer

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Lorna Lohmer announces her passing at the age of 85 at AgeCare Bow Crest on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Lorna was born on August 15,1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Cecil and Jessie Fee. She met her future husband Bob through friends in Stonewall, Manitoba and were married on June 6, 1959. Bob, Lorna and their two children moved to Alberta in 1969 and eventually settled in Westcott where she enjoyed her family, friends and deep love of gardening. Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert (Bob) of 66 years; daughter, Brenda (Lyle) Hale; son, Dale Lohmer (Gina Konschuh); her three grandsons, Justin Hale, Kyle Hale and Graeme Loehmer; and two great-grand-daughters, Ivy Hale and Daisy Hale.

She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Jessie Fee and is survived by her sister Laine Vertypora. Lorna will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Kim Hutchison, Kristy Croy-Desmarais and Kurtis Croy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Taylor and the staff at AgeCare Bow Crest for their outstanding care over the recent three years as well as to the staff at Bethany Cochrane for their care and support of our mom while she was there. We wish to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.

A private family gathering will take place later this summer to commemorate her life.
