In Memory
Margaret Lynne Campbell

Margaret Lynne Campbell (1945-2025) passed away peacefully the afternoon of Monday, December 15, 2025, in Calgary, AB at the age of 80 years. She was attended in her final moments by her husband of 58 years, Robert (Bob) Gordon Campbell; her daughter, Darcey Campbell and Darcey’s husband, Paul Trahan.
She will forever be remembered with admiration and love by Bob, Darcey and Paul, her son Darron Campbell and six grandchildren; Sophie, Tessa and Lucie Trahan along with Kalli, Robyn and Dryden Campbell; also by close relatives, friends and many people whose lives she touched.
Lynne lived a quiet life full of family, friends, books, dog walks and watching curling. If not reading, she was always in motion serving others, cooking, tidying, organizing, helping. Her industrious approach to life in a calm and steady manner gave inspiration to us all and kept everyone in awe. Hers were the strong hands that made light work for others.
Lynne Mallett was born and raised in Prince Rupert BC and after graduating from high school she backpacked for several months around Europe and fondly shared these memories, encouraging world travel with her children and grandchildren. She met and married Bob in Prince Rupert, through a serendipitous fender bender and soon thereafter moved to MacKenzie, BC for a new job and to start a family.
By 1982, Bob and Lynne became Bolyn Enterprises and saw Lynne’s dedicated effort to the family hardware business, first in Vanderhoof, BC and then in Manning, AB. The success of their business allowed Bolyn to travel around North America in their trailer and snowbird in the sunshine of Yuma, Arizona for 25 years acquiring many good friends along the way. For a home base, they settled at MacGregor Lake and had just recently moved the 25 minutes into Vulcan to be closer to the library and hospital. Her remaining years were happily spent collecting pictures of her grandkids and playing cards with the girls at the senior’s centre.
Forever practical and with no tolerance for waste of any kind, Lynne donated her remains to the University of Calgary medical school as an invaluable tool for students and researchers.
And now she will rest, leaving us to finally tidy-up after ourselves; Lynne will never be forgotten by those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring in Vulcan. Donations in her memory can be made to the Vulcan County Health and Wellness Foundation at www.vchwfoundation.com.
