Marian Elizabeth Cade

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Marian Cade (Vogt) passed away suddenly at home three days before her 80th birthday.

She is being lovingly remembered by her husband, Gary Vogt; son, Evan Cade; and daughter, Lori Stovka (Dwaine); granddaughters, Amber Cade (Chris) and Cassie Stovka (Dan); grandson, Daley Stovka (Jese); great-grandchildren, Dominic, Aurora and Addison; brothers, Bruce (Bonnie), Jim (Eleanor) and Rick (Marlene); and numerous other extended family. Marian was predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Doris Hill; brother, Bill (Val); and sister, Judy in infancy.

Marian was born in the UK on July 19,1944 and made the voyage across the Atlantic with her Mom to join Dad in Winnipeg following the end of the Second World War. She and her first husband Doug and the two kids moved to Calgary in the late '70s, where she continued to live.

Marian worked a few different jobs until she found her last job Masque Costumes and Dance Wear in which she was at for 25 years until her retirement.

Even through health challenges in recent years, Marian was always a ray of sunshine for everyone who had the good fortune to share her company. She exuded warmth toward everyone and we feel lucky to have had her in our lives.

A family Celebration of Life has already occurred with a private service to be held at a future date.
