In Memory
Marie Kachmarski

Marie Elvera Kachmaski (nee Vigneron) was born in Eston, SK on December 2, 1930, and passed away in Calgary, AB on November 10, 2025, at the age of 94. She served as a nurse for a long time at the Calgary General Hospital, and the Peter Lougheed Centre until her retirement at age 75.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Gladys Schroeter of Red Deer, AB; her daughters, Dawn (Harry) Issler of Bowden, AB, June (Jack) Smith of Qualicum Beach, BC; and her son, Laurie of Calgary, AB. Marie adored her grandchildren, Shawn (Akiko) Issler, Ashley (Justin) Putnam, Tiffany (Blake) Ledarney, Taralynn and Austin Kachmarski; and five great-grandchildren, Natsumi, Hayato, Micah, Lucah, and Chevelle.
She was predeceased by her son, Lyle in 1997 of Calgary, AB; her grandson, Scott Issler in 2022 of Courtney, BC; her brother, Keith Vigneron in 1990 and her parents Daisy in 1966 and Victor in 1963 of Eston, SK.
Marie loved to read and had the travel bug; was always supportive and gave you a hug; life’s many struggles would put her to the test; but never did she stray very far from the nest; with strength and patience she loved us all; just never met a better person, as I can recall; a great mother and gramma truly was Marie; the real pillar of strength in our family tree; she loved the world. Each path and shore; now on her final boundless tour, with open heart and seeking mind; her loving spirit, free we find. We all greatly miss her now and forevermore; until we greet her again when passing Heaven’s door.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Marie's memory may be made to the SPCA, www.albertaspca.org/ or Alberta Children’s Hospital, https://www.childrenshospital.ab.ca/
