In Memory
Marion Robinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Phyllis Elizabeth Robinson on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta.
Marion was born August 13, 1934, the eldest born to parents Gordon and Elizabeth Robinson of Springbank, Alberta. Marion was the oldest of four children, brother Joseph (Joe), sister Doreen (Dean), and brother Arthur (Art). Growing up on the farm, Marion loved the outdoors and working with her dad outside, especially tending to the horses. Marion often told stories of riding horseback to and from school, including in the wintertime. When Marion reached High School, she moved into the city and lived with her grandmother while attending high school in Calgary. After graduating Marion started working for the Royal Bank of Canada as a bank teller. Marion stayed with the Royal Bank for her entire career, being Manager of the Parcel Cage at the time of retirement.
Marion is lovingly remembered by her brother, Arthur (Darlene) Robinson of Nanton, AB; her nieces, Carol (Richard) Lalonde of Calgary, Janice (Chris) Butler of Nanton, AB, Patricia (Alan) Pederson of Strathmore, AB, Cheryl (Shane) Haiste of Nanton, AB, and Lori (Chris) Tough of Rocky Mountain House, AB.; and nephew, Jeffrey (Valerie) Robinson of Nanton, AB.; great nieces, Danielle, Shelby, Georgia and Halea; and great nephews, Tyler, Connor, Nik, Reid, Brandon, Colby, Liam, and Sean. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Robinson; brother, Joseph (Ann) Robinson; and sister, Doreen (Frank) Adams.
Marion will always be remembered for her generosity to everyone, her love of family, her larger-than-life heart, her kind spirit and teaching all the young kids her “silly songs”. She will be sorely missed, but we are taking comfort knowing she is at peace and in no pain, reunited with family, and riding her horses once again.
A graveside Service for Marion will be held at the Springbank Cemetery on Monday, February 9th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Followed by an informal luncheon and gathering for friends and family share memories of Marion.
