Mary will be greatly missed by 14 grand-children;numerous great-grand-children; and all whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Henderson; and son, Douglas Henderson.
Mary was born and raised on a farm just west of Blackfalds, AB. After high school she became a school teacher and met Don while teaching East of Lacombe. They had 6 children together. They bred Angus cattle, and over the years raised many different breeds of horses. Among many of her loves/interests were children, horses, nature, and photography. Mary started the 4H Light Horse Club in Lacombe. They moved to Tees in 1973 and she started a 4H Light Horse Club there and was heavily involved in 4H for over 25 years. She taught all her grand children how to ride, and many of the neighbour kids horsemanship. Mary loved going on trail rides, especially in the mountains. She was very involved in the community, and photographed many community events.
Mary was always very welcoming to whoever stopped in to visit and was kind and gracious to all.
We would like to thank all the staff and Doctors at Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka for the special care that mom received.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tees Hall on Saturday, May 11,2024 at 1:00 PM
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta, 800-7015 MacLeod Trail SW, Calgary AB T2H 2K6 or a charity of your choice.

Mary’s love & knowledge of horses followed her throughout the years.
It was a privilege to know her and learn from her.
I remember a Sunny afternoon Mary popped by our home to check out Julie’s 4-H horse. We sat and chatted a while I offered her an ice Tea. She right away asked “ if is it real home made l will”. I think it passed the test, and Julie’s horse as well.
