Morleen May Lines

Morleen Lines passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 84. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Richard Jones (Joanne), Lynda Jones (Lorne), Phyllis Sahlin (Ron), Ed Jones (Mary), Margaret Rimmer (Jack), numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Edna Jones; her spouse, Henry Wozniak; siblings, Ken Jones (Marge), David Jones (Elly), Bob Jones (Nicole), Lloyd Jones (Gert) and sons, Warren Hamilton and Donnie Lines.

Maureen was fond of watching game shows on TV. In her younger years she and Henry would often frequent garage sales where Henry would buy the oddest things just to get a rise out of her. She particularly enjoyed the company of her two great nephews, Steve and Mike who would come for overnight visits and engage in video games with Uncle Henry. She especially loved her dogs, Corky, Sheena and Dakota.

She lived in various places around the world including Germany, the Northwest Territories, Athabasca, Lethbridge, an acreage outside Calgary and in the city of Calgary.

She had fond memories of working at Calgary Laboratories where she met and became long time friends with Sandy and Joanne. She also worked at the original Tom Baker Cancer Centre when it was in Bowness.

We would like to thank her special neighbours, Linda, and Dan and Joanne who were always there to lend a hand. She fondly referred to them as her first responders.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 6, 2024.
