It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nancy Anne-Marie Dufour, 55, of Sylvan Lake, who passed away Saturday, December 17th, 2023.

Nancy was born in Quebec and had a real zest for life and a carefree spirit.  She loved camping and being outdoors.  Nancy was very athletic and excelled at many sports throughout her life: gymnastics, track and field, basketball, and baseball.   She was most happy when surrounded by family and friends.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lacey; granddaughter, Makenzy, whom she adored; her sister, Sylvie Durfour; her cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. Nancy will live in their hearts forever.

Nancy is pre-deceased by her parents, Cecile and Maurice Dufour.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be scheduled in the new year.

I loved Nancy like she were my own daughter. We shared many good times together. After she moved from Thunder Bay, we be lost track of each other until last year. I looked her up on Facebook and we reconnected again. I’m really at a loss for words. It breaks my heart knowing that she’s gone. Rest in Peace Nancy. Till we meet again.
I’m so sorry for your loss Lacey. Take care and be safe.

Nancy was an awesome person. She was loved by all who knew her. I'm still having trouble with the reality that she is gone and never going to be coming home for a visit. Something that I was looking forward to seeing her for years.....but it never happened, and for this time to come and be the current reality is unthinkable and hard to come to terms with. The hundreds of late night chats will have to be the basis of our memories that I cherish and hold onto until we meet again. I love you Nancy forever and ever may you rest in peace.
