Our first meeting was in 1974-ish when Neil came into Opus 69 the Calgary record store i managed. A quiet day The lad looked about. I asked him if i could help
You wont have what i 'm looking for.
.Nobody does.
Try me i suggested.
Townes Van Zandt.
Which one?
Anyone.
I pulled out 3 early titles from the fixtures and left him to browse. He bought one and we chatted. Bowden Alberta was mentioned. Music and the future.
Neil was always a pleasure to spend time with and music was a perfect back
drop.
Over the years always time to chat and good laughs.
Rest well friend
