In Memory
Nolan Leavitt

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Nolan Leavitt, a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and teacher. Nolan left us peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born in Cardston, Alberta, Nolan’s life was marked by love, dedication, and craftsmanship. It was in Cardston where he met his soulmate, Beverly (nee Knoblick). They were married in 1971, beginning a journey together, raising their family in Innisfail, Alberta.
Nolan was a devoted father to Tod and Caryanne (Nash) and father-in-law to Cary’s husband, Joe Nash. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Takaiden Ahmad (Calgary), son of Tod; Darion Johnson (Sydney, NS), Haley Johnson and Devin Nash (Airdrie), children of Caryanne and her husband Joseph Nash. Nolan was also a loving great-grandfather to Axel and Jaxon Groves, who brought him immense joy. He is further survived by sister Edra Pilling (Cardston) and brothers, Gerald (Cardston) and Brian (Lethbridge). Nolan is predeceased by his parents Eldon and Ardath Leavitt and brothers Ardell, Blaine and Donny Leavitt, all of Cardston.
A man of great skill and passion, Nolan dedicated his career to autobody work, a craft he not only mastered but also shared with others as a respected instructor at Red Deer College for many years. His students remember him for his patience, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Nolan’s warmth, quiet strength, and sense of humor touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and former students.
In keeping with Nolan’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral or celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada Your gifts at work - Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
