Patricia Pringle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Ann Pringle(Welch) after a brief illness.  She is lovingly remembered by her loving husband, Bert; sister Teresa Welch; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doreen and Mel Palmer.

Pat was born in Calgary and subsequently raised on the family farm in the Chestermere area. This was where she learned to work hard, embrace and love the farming lifestyle, and was introduced to and participated in the 4-H program.  It was through the 4-H program that she met Bert, and on October 25, 1980, wedding vows were exchanged.

Pat took to heart, the wisdom of the 4-H pledge and lived her life accordingly,

I pledge my Head to clearer thinking” – a natural born leader, terrific organizational skills and concise decision making.

my Heart to greater loyalty” – a warm, generous, kind heart, with spirit, that loved to have fun and laugh

my Hands to larger service” – countless hours of volunteerism and always willing to lend a helping hand

my Health to better living” – a lifestyle that included a variety of interests, including socializing, furry friends, and the arts

Although you have been taken from us too soon Pat, may we remember the light that you have been in many lives, and that you have lived life on your terms with joy, fulfillment, and great satisfaction.

A Celebration of Life to honor Pat will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, between 3-8PM at the Pringle Farm.  Please bring your favourite beverage to toast Pat.

Donations of food will be accepted for the local food bank, or you make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Dear Bert, I am so sorry the loss of your dear partner. You and Pat were the first people I met at the first 4-H Leaders conference that I attended. You both made me feel welcomed to the group. I thank you both for that because you both were like this, welcoming & friendly. I enjoyed Pat & your friendship in 4-H. Thank you.
