Renee Vincent

Renée Mae Vincent, née Fox
June 9, 1954 - February 26, 2026
Renée passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Renée focused on the love of her family and caring for everyone she knew. She lovingly raised her three children, Janelle, Jérad (Kim), and Devan (Paige) with her devoted husband of 50 years, Gill Joseph Vincent. She also had the joy of adoring her five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Élise, Genevieve, Vince, and Sara. She leaves behind numerous friends and family members, including her sisters, Cathie, Laurie Anne (Bill), Treena (Doug); sisters-in-law, Claudette (Gary), Paula (Leo), and Dorianne, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Renée was born in Edmonton to Rose Irene (née Vasseur) Niederer and William Norris Fox, and spent her formative years living in Moose Lake, Bonnyville, and Edmonton. In 1975, she married the one love of her life, Gill, and devoted herself to nurturing her family throughout their years in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Renée will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. Renée left this message; “I have loved you all weep not for me, but take courage and love one another for my sake.”
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Renée’s honour to the Airdrie Foodbank.
A celebration of life will be planned for spring in Airdrie.

We are shocked and saddened to read of Rene's passing, and your lovely sentiments are a testament to the Rene we were blessed to share life with during our time in Plaster Rock. She and I used to joke about the fact that our primary job in those days was 'building' because we delivered our second children there (our Natalie and your Jared), and our third (Andrea and Devan) were born shortly after we left there. Our photo collection has chronicled the many happy times we shared : detachment Christmas parties, family birthday celebrations, along with welcome and farewell events as new members came and went over the years. We also have fond memories of visiting you during the March West re-enactment in 1999 when once again we enjoyed Rene's gift of hospitality. Our prayer for you today is that the peace of God will comfort you through this great loss and that the promise of 1 John 2.25 will sustain you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Shirley and Wayne
