Robert Townson

Bob Townson was a man of Jesus Christ. That was how he lived. Bob took his family of 4 and travelled across Canada as "The Gospel Truth" singing group, for many years, and they brought Jesus to many people. He and his wife, Maureen (predeceased 2014), became Salvation Army officers and served for 19 years. A true man of God he will be missed in this world.

He was often seen studying God's word and Psalm 91 was a favorite chapter. “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;” Psalms 91:9-10 NKJV

He is survived by his daughter, Kareen Fredborg; daughter, Tammy (Shaughn) Killeen; grandchildren, Mary (Jim) Linville, Miriam Fredborg, John Fredborg, Liam Killeen, Amberlye Killeen, Alanndra Killeen; and great-grandson, Aleksander Johann.

A special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan West Highlands for making Bob's last few days enjoyable.  To quote him, "I feel like I am being treated like a king."

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
