Robert Troy Watson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Troy Watson at the age of 54. Robert was born January 10, 1970 and passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Red Deer hospital after a courageous battle with MS. He fought hard until the end.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Vi Coleman; his brother and sister-in-law, Curt & Raquel; nephews, Richard & Dillion; niece, Rianne; and uncle, Doug Southern; as well as many extended family and friends. Thank you to special friends Jason Edmonton and Donnell Levseque for your love and support.
He was predeceased by his father, Stewart Watson and maternal grandparents, Arnold and Ella Southern in 1997 and his fur babies, Kitten, K2, Messiah and Diesel.
Robert's jobs varied from a gas bar attendant, Border Paving Company, Janitorial cleaning and Polymont Plastics where he worked for 17 years until the M.S made it unsafe for him to continue working.
Robert spent his early years in Blackfalds then moved to Red Deer at the age of 9.
·He attended Normandeau School and Lindsay Thurber High School. Robert's interests included: Heavy metal music, tattoos, guitars, anything with cars, snowboarding, or just hanging out with friends drinking Budweiser, his hobbies, wrenching on cars, video games, attending car shows and playing guitar.
He was always there for his family and friends.
Special Thanks to Bethany Collegeside Young Adults, the Nurses and Doctors on unit 32 at Red Deer Hospital, and his helping hands, Victoria and Linda.
He will be lovingly missed by all who knew him.
A come and go Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks of Canada Hall B.P.O.E. #85; 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm.
