Roy Morgan Smallwood

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Roy Morgan Smallwood on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 91.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Mildred Fleming of Collingwood, Ontario, and Dorothy Campbell of Red Deer, Alberta; as well as his nine nieces and nephews spanning four generations. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Amelia Smallwood; his sisters, Caroline Smallwood and Josephine Nelson; and his brother, John Smallwood.

Roy spent nearly his entire life on his cherished farm near Didsbury, Alberta, living simply and appreciating the quiet rewards of rural life. In his later years, he made his home at Bethany Didsbury, where he was cared for with warmth, respect, and kindness by the dedicated staff, for which the family is deeply grateful.

Roy was laid to rest at Didsbury Cemetery on April 24, 2025. His gentle spirit, steady presence, and fondness for the land will be missed and remembered with love by all who knew him.
