Ryan Murray

It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Ryan Matthew Murray on Monday, July 20, 2026. Ryan was born on October 5, 1976, in North York, Ontario. In July 1989, his family relocated to Calgary, Alberta, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Ryan is lovingly remembered by his mother, Lynn Redlick, and stepfather, Rick Redlick; his brother, Jared Murray, and Jared's children Domonic, Sophia, and Paige; his sister, Amber Murray-Luft, brother in law, Kevin Luft, and their children Keira and Quinton; his stepbrother, Aric Redlick, and Aric's son Gabriel; and his beloved dog, Milo. Ryan was predeceased by his father, Wayne Murray. Ryan was loved by all who knew him. Quiet and gentle by nature, he carried a sharp, witty sense of humor that he shared once he felt at ease. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering integrity were present in every interaction. Ryan was the person you could turn to when you needed someone to listen—steady, thoughtful, and always ready with calm, unbiased support. Ryan had a lifelong love of movies—collecting them, watching them, and sharing his best recommendations with family. He treasured time with his nieces and nephews, keeping a candy stash ready for their visits and enjoying countless Shrek video game nights together. Ryan was also a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, faithfully watching every game with his brother and sharing in the highs and lows that came with cheering for their team. Ryan will be deeply missed, and his love, humor, and steady presence will forever woven into the fabric of his family.
