In Memory
Shane Wiebe

Michael “Shane” Wiebe, born April 21, 1960, in Saskatchewan, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 65.
Shane was a devoted father, proud grandfather, beloved brother, and a friend to many. He will always be remembered for his warm heart, his incredible cooking, and a laugh that could fill a room—one that no one who heard it will ever forget. Shane had a special way of making people smile with his wonderfully cheesy jokes, and he loved sharing laughter with those around him.
Shane had a deep love for the outdoors and rarely missed an opportunity to be hunting, fishing, or camping. He would never pass up an invitation to head out for a hunt or a day of fishing, and he was always happy to include anyone who wanted to come along. He often spoke about how much he loved the quiet beauty, breathtaking views, and serenity he found while out in nature. It brings comfort to his family to imagine him now enjoying those peaceful views forever from above.
More than anything, Shane loved his family. Nothing meant more to him than having everyone together, sharing a good meal, stories, and plenty of laughter.
Shane is lovingly remembered by his children, Jesse Stewart (Kala), Clint Boutin (spouse), Danielle Mityok (Jay), Tanner Wiebe (Chasity), Alyse Lakeman (Ivan), and Kelly Stulberg. He was a proud grandfather to Austin Weed and Hunter Boutin.
He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Rusk (Chris); his nephews, Josh Rusk (Jessica) and Zach Rusk.
Shane was predeceased by his mother, Jeanette; his father, Clarence; his StepFather, Tony and his beloved wife Carrie.
Shane was so deeply loved by his family and friends, and his absence will be felt every day. His laughter, kindness, and the memories he created with those around him will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Life will never feel the same without him, but he will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Service will be held for Shane at Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association, 5600 Centre St N, Calgary, AB, on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 PM.
The family warmly welcomes all who knew and loved Shane to join them in celebrating his life.
