In Memory
Sharon Lauraine Robidoux (nee Mundie / Cumming)

It
is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon at the age
of 72 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 20, 2023. Sharon was born in
Wilkie, Saskatchewan on April 17, 1951 to Jeanne and Ray Cumming. Sharon
graduated in the class of 1969 at Unity Composite High School and went on to
get her Registered Nursing Degree in Saskatoon. Upon getting her nursing
degree, Sharon would work at hospitals in Lloydminster and Saskatoon, before
making her way to Red Deer. After spending many years working in the ER, Sharon
would finish her career in nursing in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, retiring
after 45 years at Red Deer Regional Hospital in 2016.
All
her life, Sharon had the travel bug, and spent a lot of her free time in her
younger years travelling Europe and the world. She would continue to travel
right up until her passing. Sharon was an avid sports fan, with curling and
baseball being amongst her favourites. Sharon had a great sense of humour and
could light up a room with a funny little joke, or simply her affectionate
radiant smile. She always took great interest in everyone she met, creating
countless lifelong friends throughout her life.
In
1984, Sharon married Drew Mundie and moved out to Knee Hill Valley, Alberta
where they raised two wonderful daughters, Katelyn and Jacquelyn together.
Sharon married Gene Robidoux in 2013 and would spend her remaining years with
her loving husband by her side throughout many adventures. Sharon is survived
by her husband Gene, her daughters Katelyn (Nate), Jacquelyn (Ian), her mother
Jeanne, sister Diane, brothers Dale (Linda), Don (Carol) and Vaughn, as well
as, Sister in-law Lucille Small, step-children Chris (Sarah), Justin (Mandy)
and Danielle (Dale) and grandchildren Ryker, Carson, MacKenzie, Juliet, Sophia,
Dylan, Rowan and Ethan and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sharon was predeceased by her father Ray Cumming and Drew Mundie.
