Sharon Morin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Morin on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the age of 79. Sharon was born in Moosomin Saskatchewan on July 5, 1947.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rochelle; son in law, Darrin; daughter, Danelle; grandchildren, Keeton, Caitlin, and Kale; brothers, Duane (Marie), Kevin (Marie); sister-in-law, Margaret; many nieces and nephews and we can not forget her furry grandchildren, Casper and Daisy. She is predeceased by her father, John Szafron; mother, Dorthy Szafron; and brother, Larry Szafron.

In her early years Sharon spent 30+ years working for the government of Saskatchewan. While living in Saskatchewan she spent many summers at the “cabin” with lifelong friends and 40 years playing bridge with the “bridge ladies” that continued to be a Tuesday night date until the end.

Sharon was a devoted mother and nan. She took so much joy being with her grandchildren. Starting in Swift Current and then moving to Red Deer, she jumped in to help whenever needed. Whether it was school pickup, last minute babysitting, trips to the mall, nan was always there. Once the grandchildren got older, she looked forward to graduation’s, Sunday suppers, and drop in visits.

Saying goodbye to our mom, nan, sister and friend is not easy, but we will hold our memories close to our hearts forever.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the care and attention she received.

Respecting mom’s wishes, no celebration of life will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation
