In Memory
Terry Trefz
Terry Faye Trefz, born on
June 12, 1950, in Red Deer, Alberta, peacefully passed away on Friday, February
9, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family and her dear husband, Daryle
Trefz. She was the cherished daughter of
Milton and Betty Clark and grew up with a resilience and determination that
defined her remarkable life.
Her life took her to
different places, including Saskatchewan, where she married and had two sons,
Wade and Rodney or “Joe”. Later, as a
single mom, Terry pursued a career in office bookkeeping, displaying her
commitment to providing a stable life for her family. Her journey continued with shifts at Alberta
Wheat Pool and Shaw Cable.
Her compassion for others
led her to pursue a career as a Psych nurse at Michener Center, where she
dedicated herself to caring for special needs clients, earning recognition from
the Government of Alberta for her outstanding devotion to improving care conditions
for residents. At this time, Terry remarried and her son Josh was born. After a move to Fort St. John, Terry received
her Teacher’s Aid Certification, and worked for many years as an educational
assistant with the Prairie Land School Division.
Terry's zest for life was
evident in her diverse interests, from coaching baseball and organizing school
sports to quilting, curling, and adventurous travels with her boys. Her marriage to Daryle brought new joys,
including canoeing, backpacking, and tent camping.
Terry leaves behind a
legacy of love, resilience, and devotion. She is lovingly remembered by her
devoted husband, Daryle; three sons, Wade (Chantell, Victoria, and Ryan),
Rodney Joe (Tiffany, Hayley, and Evie), Josh; and her stepson, Jonathan Trefz; her
mother, Betty Clark; sister, Kloudie Jennison; brothers, Pat (Rita) Clark, Ted
(Linda) Clark; and several nephews. She
was predeceased by her father, Milton Clark; and sister, Sandra Wall.
Terry Trefz will be dearly
missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service
will be held at the Drumheller LDS Church on Thursday, February 15th at 11:00
am (1455 – 4 Ave NW, Drumheller) and a drop in Celebration of Life at the Delia
Drop in Centre on Thursday, February 15th from 4:00-5:30 (211 Main Street,

In lieu of flowers, the
family requests donations to the Delia Drop In Centre in Terry's memory. May
she rest in eternal peace.
