Thomas Ferguson passed away on March 12, 2026 due to complications with Parkinsons. He was 72 years old. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife, Mary Wojdyga; his step daughter, Genevieve Wojdyga (Daniel Copeland); his step grandchild, Osler; his sister, Ada Veronneau (Richard); his brother, John (Natalya Chivlikly); his nieces, Nicole, Sara, Rochelle, Anita; his nephews, Mark, Patrick; Step children, Kim, Colleen, Jeff and other step grand children.
Thomas enjoyed playing in theatre productions (Mikado, amongst others), he enjoyed playing his piano and accordion. Thomas was retired from CP Railway, where he worked as a Rail Traffic Controller and finished retiring as a Trainer. He was later offered a position for Oderbrecht to work in Liberia to spear head a railway communication system.
Thomas lived in Maple Creek Saskatchewan, multiple towns and cities within Alberta, settling in Crossfield. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Bethany Didsbury, more so, JP Almerol, Brittney Minarovich for their compassionate care for Thomas' last moments. We would also like to thank Dr. Zahra Goodarzi and Dr. Justyna Sarna from Foothills Hospital Movement Disorder Clinic for the phenomenal assistance and care of Thomas for his Parkinsons.
There will be a celebration of life in early summer. Details to be determined. Donations would be greatly appreciated to Parkinsons Society of Alberta.
