In Memory
Victor Michael Staldeker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dad & grandpa Victor Michael Staldeker, who left us on March 1, 2025 at the age of 89.
Dad was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan to Albinus & Scholastica Staldeker. He met mum at his older brother’s wedding, and 3 years later, in 1957, they married. They soon relocated to Red Deer, where they raised their family and eventually enjoyed their retirement.
Dad worked at Alpha Milk/Dairyland for over 40 years. He was predeceased by our mum, Rose; his parents, his sister Mary; and his 3 brothers, Alex, Aloys & Joseph.
Dad was a beloved father and devoted husband and will be forever remembered and loved by his 3 daughters, Cathy (Clay) McCullough, Laurie (Steve) Bennett and Bonnie (Dan) Graham; his 7 grandchildren, Dean, Stephanie (Ryan), Eric (Rachel), Kristin (Curtis) , Bryscn (Karyna), Kyle (Brenda) & Kasey (Amar); and 4 great-grandchildren, Jaycob, Kinsley, Kayley, & Jaxson.
Dad possessed an unwavering passion for reading, frequently seen with a book in hand, delving into the depths of an unresolved mystery or embarking on a thrilling world adventure. His enthusiasm for reading was equaled only by his affection for tending to his garden and his enjoyment of watching hockey, baseball, and curling. He spent countless hours tending to his garden, nurturing it with the same care and dedication he showed to his family. He had a gentle spirit and was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes.
A special thank you to dad’s neighbours Maurice & Sandi who were so kind, generous and helpful to dad. Thank you for shoveling dad’s driveway and sidewalks the last few years, always sharing your homemade baking and being a good friend to dad. We will always be grateful. Many thanks to nurses, doctors and staff on unit 32 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the care they gave dad! A private family Graveside Service will take place at Alto Reste Cemetery.
We love you dad and will miss you always!

I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I was happy to see him at our Mom's service and regret not going to visit him as I'd intended. Our Uncle Vic indeed had a gentle spirit and quiet nature much like our Dad. No matter how old we are, it's never easy to lose a parent. Don't let go of your precious memories. They'll get you through this difficult time. Thinking of you all.
From you cousin Janet

Remember visiting often with our family as kids and remember his humour and his kindness
Surely will be missed and loved
