Vivian Van Maarion

Vivian Josephine Van Maarion (nee Evans) was born on October 20, 1931, one of six children. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Jake, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, resilience, and family. Together, Vivian and Jake created a full and lively home, raising six children and lovingly welcoming one more through adoption. In their retirement years, they moved to Water Valley, where their farm became the heart of countless family gatherings, filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories.

After Jake's passing in 1989, Vivian embraced life with quiet strength and curiosity. She discovered a passion for golfing and enjoyed travelling, always appreciating the beauty of the world around her. Vivian felt most at home in nature-tending her garden, watching birds, or simply listening to the wind move through the valley. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, who remained the center of her life. Vivian was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jake; her siblings, and her son, Randy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Dan (Sarah), Bud (Janette), Tim, Marjorie (Roy), Mary, and June (Gord); as well as her 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Vivian's wishes, no formal service will be held. She will be remembered best through stories shared, time spent together, and the love she gave so freely.
