Wesley Allan Benson

Wesley Allan Benson, a longtime resident of Slave Lake, Alberta, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 84.
Wesley was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his children: Linda Benson, Wesley Benson, Debbie Sims, Kathy Benson, and Dion Benson, along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
Wesley spent much of his working life as a dedicated head plant operator for Chevron. Outside of work, he had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of everyday life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, skidooing, and playing baseball. Travelling home for the holidays to visit his parents was something he cherished deeply, always keeping family at the heart of his life.
Wesley will be remembered for his steady presence, love of the land, and the pride he took in both his work and his family.
A Graveside Service will be held at Kevisville Cemetery on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wesley’s life.
