Wes had many adventures in his life, from owning his own barbershop, to enlisting the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. He has a brick in the Colonel Belcher Veterans Memorial Wall. He sailed on ships as a merchant seaman, and was a navigator for a now defunct airline. He loved planes and flying his whole life. Later in his life, he took to drawing cartoons and creating origami figures. This took him to many get togethers, where he taught children how to make simple things. If there was a child anywhere near him, out would come his pencil from one pocket and paper from another he’d draw them a cartoon or give them some origami. After he turned 80, he taught art at a Hebrew school. He loved lapidary and would hunt for cool rocks wherever he went. Wesley loved to tell stories and he had lots of stories to tell. He will be missed. A private funeral for the family was held at the gravesite on Saturday, November 10, 2023. His body was interred in the Field of Honor at Eden Brook Cemetery.
