In Memory
William (Bill) Arthur Jones
November 22nd, 1950 - August 13th, 2024
Bill Jones passed away August 13, 2024 at the age of 73 years surrounded by family. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon (nee Pahl) sons, Gregg (Ronalee) and Kevin (Trish). Along with his beloved grandchildren, Duke and Lydia. He leaves to mourn his sister, Carol Jensen, and brother Ron Jones (Avis), brother-in-law Darcy. Along with numerous nieces & nephews and their loving families.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Margaret “Scoots” and Arthur “Nipper”; mother and father-in-law, Lydia and Herb Pahl; sister-in-law, Carol Martin; brothers-in-law, Spens Jensen and Don Norton; and daughter-in-law, Lynnette Martin.
Bill grew up on a mixed farm just outside of Balzac where he developed a strong work ethic which he passed down to his own kids. Bill’s résumé was short because of his drive and sense of loyalty with any job he held. Case in point, he recently retired from Alta Genetics after 30 years of focused dedication. Bill cherished playing cribbage with lifelong friends during coffee and lunch breaks at previous places of employment, often extending the fun into after-hours tournaments. In recent years, he found joy in cheering on his grandchildren at their extracurricular activities and spending quality time with his close family.
Bill’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life to honour him for his life long commitment to making everyone’s day better and brighter. His infectious sense of humour and wit will be celebrated by his family, friends and acquaintances September 13th 2024 at the Goldenrod Hall from 2:00pm-7:00pm. Please come and go as you see fit. Connect with family, friends, previous colleagues and pay your last respects.

Condolences to the family. I will always remember the crib games at lunchtime and tournaments. We all loved the crib tournament. Also the little snack store he set up in his office and IOU book to keep track of amount everyone owed to be paid on the next pay day.

I will fondly remember the stories my dad told me about him and Bill going out and having a good time. The stories made me laugh. I remember dancing with Bill. He will be missed dearly. Sending my love and my deepest condolences.❤️
