In loving memory?

William (Bill) David Reed, age 79 of Boyle, Alberta passed away at home on Thursday, August 14th, 2025.

Born on August 1st, 1946 in Edmonton Alberta, Bill was the eldest son to Gwyneth Hobson and Laurence Reed.

Bill had numerous jobs throughout his years. His most significant careers was a nursing orderly as well as an EMT. He retired as an EMT after 25 years in Rocky Mountain House in 2009. Bill enjoyed wood working, gardening, fishing, camping with his wife Sandra and several other outdoor activities.

Bill married the love of his life Sandra Campbell on December 3rd, 1966. Together they raised 3 children; he was a loyal husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was known for the way he cared for others and wore his heart on his sleeve.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Sandra; their children, Michael Reed, Lisa Repas (Wayne), Marcus Reed (Jennifer); 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Lakeisha, Shelby, Kourtney, Peyton, Ethan, Noah, Piper, and 4 honorary grandchildren, Rebecca, LaVonna, and Dustin and Alyssa; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as his sister, Audrey Wilson (Derryl). He is preceded in death by his parents, Laurence (Theresa), Gwyneth (Phillip);

in-laws, Lorne (Jean); nephew, Dean; and granddaughter, Kaitlyn. He leaves behind several cherished friends and family as well.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street Red Deer on Wednesday, September 3rd from 1pm - 4 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.ca and/or Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca as a tribute to his memory.
